Create hint of new sip device

Exist a way to automatically create the hint of the extension in sip.conf?

ex:

[phone1]
type=friend
secret=blahblah
createhint=yes <–
…
…

I need a way to do this automatically because I’m configuring like 250 phones…
Please, don’t tell me i have to configure each hint individually :S

Yes, manually. But you can do it via PHP, bash or another script.

You can also define your phones in users.conf instead of sip.conf. The hints will get created automatically.

I have this in users.conf

mailbox=2331@mycontext

but when I run in the CLI> voicemail show users
it says:

Context Mbox User Zone NewMsg
default 2331 Jhon Doe 0

It should display mycontext
