Command in AsteriskNOW

Why in AsteriskNow canot use the command yum and rpm?

I need use for a test.
Some person help me, to enable for the command yum and rpm

Thank you

AsteriskNow has been built as a barebones Asterisk distro, without any additional packages not needed for Asterisk building and use.

if you really want to add rpm and yum, you need to download the source for each, compile and install it yourself, then decide where you want your packages to come from and configure repos accordingly.

AsteriskNow is built on rpath which uses its own package management system. It is called conary. For more information on conary, please check out the following website: http://wiki.rpath.com/wiki/Conary
