Cisco Router and Asterisk

Hi guys,

doas anyone tried (in a production environment) to run an asterisk connected to a Cisco Router trough a trunk H323 o MGCP?

I’d like to have the PSTN gateway separated from the PBX and we’re planning to use a Cisco Router(2851 and/or 3825) with DSP channels connected in between my E1trunk and Asterisk, using MGCP or H323 (or SIP?).

I have tried to connect Asterisk to a CISCO Call Manager using H.323 (using OpenH323) and this did work. Not actually used it in a production environment though.

i am using SIP between Asterisk & Cisco in production. works fine. i have not tried H.323 or MGCP.
