Cisco 7911G user options and directory

Hi Folks,

I apologise if this is not the right forum to post this, although the phones are connected to the asterisk server this is not specifically a problem with asterisk. I would welcome advice on where else to ask this question.

I have two cisco 7911G Ip Phones running version 9.2(1) of the sip firmware.

After a week or so of mucking around I have finally got the phones registering and making calls.

But for the life of me I can not configure the directory listing or web user options to work.

Firstly the web options.
I have set up apache2 on my asterisk box, and have configured the phones to request http://xx/authenticate.php, which is a script that returns ‘AUTHORIZED’.

I point my web browser at https://phone_ip, and I get the device info page, but no user options, I do not get prompted for a login or password, and the web server logs do not show any attempt to access authenticate.php

Secondly, the directory. The phone retrieves my directory.xml, but does not display it.

I would welcome any advice on this, I have been googling and trying things for days, and am pretty much at a dead end.
<?php
header(“Content-type: text/xml”);
header(“Connection: close”);
header(“Expires: -1”);
?>

My Dir A Prompt Name Field 6001 Name Field2 241
The phones logs show:
