Firstly, I’m running Asterisk@home 2.7. I know it’s old, but I have it running on an old PIII 450mhz that I bought for $20. I really have no issues with it other Than callblocking.
If I try using *31 to manually add a number I get the asterisk operator that announces to enter the number and then press #. After I enter the # key I get a fast busy tone.
I tried doing it manually from CLI in the asterisk prompt with this command:
database put blacklist 0123456789 blocked
I get a “Updated database successfully”.
But if I use my cell phone as a test, add it through CLI, and then call my homephone the call rings through? Why would allow it through, and why would I Get a fast busy tone adding it using *31?
