bri_net_ptmp

Hi,

I’m trying to get the NET-PTMP mode for a BRI working without success :-s
(This BRI-NET-PTMP is use to connect an ISDN modem that only works in PTMP mode)

I have this warning in the asterisk CLI :

and the call doesn’t work (because the modem doesn’t get any TEI number - so the call isn’t send)

whereas my BRI is set in PTMP mode (chan_dahdi.conf):

If I connect an PTP device instead of the PTPM Modem it works!

On page 72 of docs.digium.com/H8/hx8_series_manual.pdf we can see that we could use bri_net_ptmp mode.

Does anyone ever use this mode?

I’ve just downgraded Asterisk from 1.8.7.1 to 1.8.6.0 and it works.
(libpri version: 1.4.12 / DAHDI Version: 2.5.0.2) - /etc/dahdi/system.conf and /etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf unchanged

I guess that Asterisk 1.8.7.1 doesn’t recognize the BRI_NET_PTMP mode

This issue should be fixed in Asterisk 1.8 svn and be in Asterisk 1.8.8.0 when it is released. The commit to fix it was svn r339719 with history in the issue tracker at ASTERISK-18687.
