hi,

is it possible for asterisk to use the modem as an ATA and, if not

is there any software that can run the modem as an ATA

You could get Asterisk working with a voice modem but really just forget it you will not be happy with the results.

Buy an ATA or a TDM400P

but the problem that in Egypt something like TDM4000P is very expinsive

i do not have many choices.

May I suggest you purchase your TDM400P and fsx/fxo modules off www.ebay.com or a Digium reseller in the United States and have it shipped to Egypt?
