I have an Asterisk server running on my PC, and I want to answer calls through the PC. But I want to do this through Jack because I have two sound cards, and I want to select during the call itself which soundcard the output should go to. As I understand, there are two options:
** Use a SIP softphone that has Jack support. But I’ve been unable to find one so far. Any ideas? A softphone using GStreamer will also do, but none of kphone, xlite, or twinkle are based on gstreamer.
** Use the JACK app in 1.6-beta4 onwards, and connect the channels directly to the audio in/out of either soundcard. This works, but there is terrible noise in the output. Any ideas on why this happens?
