Asterisk Stopping itself after about 5-6 hours

Hi,

I’m running asterisk 13.9.0 on debian 7. Asterisk Stopping itself after about 5-6 hours. I can’t figure out where is the problem. Any idea?

Many thanks

What do you mean by “stopping”? Have you checked the logs to see if there’s anything out of the ordinary? Is it crashing?

Hi,

When I say stopping its completely stopped, I have to start asterisk again from the terminal.
Checked the asterisk log files. There’s nothing out of the ordinary.

Bit more information, running two deferent asterisk servers one is cloud server other one in local. Both of the have same issue and running same version of asterisk 13.9.0

Many thanks

It is still not clear what you mean by stopping. If you mean it exits normally, that is very strange. If you mean it continues to run but does no useful work, see https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Getting+a+Backtrace#GettingaBacktrace-GettingInformationForADeadlock

Hi,

Yes it’s exits normally; I looked in to the log after its stop it’s was brute force attacks was the last accretive. It was about 50 of them within few second. How do I stop this I have installed fail2ban and its working. Asterisk server running behind the firewall with private IP. Any advice please?

Maybe I’m wrong this might be bug. I have solved this problem by reinstalling asterisk cert version.
