Asterisk,php-agi, and php version compatiblity

Hi,

I have installed asterisk 1.8 on centos 6.3. I want to know which version of php should I install to work with php-agi ver 2.0? previously I installed php 5.3.3 which did not work properly and showed issues.

Please help me out.
