I just successfully upgraded to Asterisk 1.4 and went ahead and installed the Asterisk 1.4 GUI. From what I’ve seen so far, it appears as if the Asterisk GUI can only manipulate the flat config files, not users, voicemail users, and such in the Asterisk database. Am I correct? If so, is the GUI useless if we use a database to maintain our users?

The GUI doesn’t use a database for the configuration, only flat files.
