Asterisk don't detect pstn lines

I need your help coz i spend more than 4 days on this problem without any solution.

here is the probleme.

asterisk installation and dahdi hardware installation go really fine.

i got my hardware up and running.all the led are green

but if i put my pstn line in one of my tdm03b port , it seems that asterisk don’t see that i plugged in the line. no message appears in the cli.

and also if i try to call the line number, the telco tells me that the number i dialed can’t be reached. as if it was out of service.
but it rings when i put off the line from the tdm card. or if i connect it directly to an analog phone .

here is the dahdi_test result

please tell me what is wrong here.
is my card damaged or i have forgotten something in my configuration
i am using:

  • os : debian etch
  • asterisk 1.8
  • dahdi 2.4

Thanks

Howdy,

Contact the company that sold you the card.

Cheers.

the card is more than 2 years old and worked fine .

the probem happens after reinstalling my system .

so the help i needed was to tells what’s wrong. is my card or not ?

here are the last news.

when i plug off and plug on again the pstn lines in the card , asterisk show alert message of alarm on channel…
line 2 and 3 also answer now call and asterisk show incoming call on the cli; but it says that all call come from dahdi/2 port even if i call another line plug in channel 3 of the card.

and more , when i try to make outbond call , call myself as if i was making playback. only one channel make call normally

does anyone know someting about that problem.

thanks for any helps

Check your contexts, check you incoming dial plan.
You have to check if your ISP have an automatically jump.
I mean, if you call your self, the ISP foward the call to other of your current lines.

Or use the dahdi_tools to check you hadware status
