Hi.
Im a voip reseller.

I ask my provider how to configurate asterisk in my voip accounts
They gave me this configuration

(SAMPLE ASTERISK CONFIGURATION)

[varphonex]
username=xxxxxxx
type=peer
secret=my-password
host=sip.varphonex.com
fromuser=xxxxxxx
fromdomain=sip.varphonex.com
context=from-varphonex
canreinvite=no

[sip.varphonex.com]
username=xxxxxxx
user=xxxxxxx

host=sip.varphonex.com
fromdomain=sip.varphonex.com

Registration String: My-number:my-password@sip.varphonex.com

I don´t know what to do.
I used Putty to sign as root. I tried to locate sip.conf. But I dont see any file or directory…

What do I need to do?

Thanks man.
I really apreciate your help.
I installed the last stable version using the whole cd (.iso file).
I didn’t installed it over any distribution.
But I’m really new in this things.

Now I don’t know what to do?

I use putty from my computer using the server ip address, login as root.
I try to locate the file but I don’t see any folder.

Hmm it looks like you used asterisknow, for logging in as root you can have a look in de asterisknow support forums.
but you can’t login as root with asterisknow so i don’t know what cd you are using??
