New to Asterisk. Have ver 16 installed on Ubuntu 20.04. 2 Grandstream phones.
Confused about sip.conf and pjsip.conf…does pjsip.conf replace sip.conf ??
Seems like a silly question, but not clear on this … do I need to configure both files ?

They are two completely separate channel drivers and implementation of SIP. If using chan_sip then it uses sip.conf, if using chan_pjsip then it uses pjsip.conf.
Only one ! Pjsip.conf
Sip.conf is still there just to remind us of the ancient past.
