Asterisk 16.6.1 and door phone video

Hi,

I am trying to setup a door phone with video and asterisk to get the video displayed on a webpage.
Via the pjsip configuration (allow=h264) I am already able to receive the video RTP stream on asterisk, but I don’t find a way to forward that video stream to a running instance of FFMEG to convert it to an HLS stream so it can be displayed on a webpage. Any help would be appreciated.

Instead of a webphone why don’t you just use Linphone and make a call to the doorphone?

I have to wonder if what you are trying to do is push a doorphone into acting as a network door camera. Note that there ARE devices like that on the market - here is one:

Smart 2K+ Wired PoE Video Doorbell with Chime | Reolink Official\t

The camera in it is NOT a “video telephone” but rather a typical network camera - you would use a typical security NVR like the ZoneMinder software to connect to it and that can display a 24x7 video from the doorbell camera on a web browser.

But a doorphone with video is a different animal. You have to establish a call to it, so you would need to use a softphone on whatever it is you are running the webbrowser on.

I’d just buy a cheap videophone off Ebay for this purpose.

Our company already supports audio calls from a door phone into our product and we would like to add video support to it as well,

Are you receiving audio calls from a doorphone on a web browser?
