VOIP Provider - myvoice.splitinfinity.com

Okay people, please keep this in mind…

The UK is not the only market on this planet. Contrary to what alot of * users may think, Europe is not Mecca… it just smells like it.

Yes, you should be concerned about security. But if like me, you are security concious you use a CC that you know will protect you in the event of fraud. Honestly, people, do you really believe that your CC bank will force you to pay for charges you dispute. I’ve never had this problem and in fact, I’ve been notified by the bank when a fraud occurred and they notified me before I ever knew what was happening. The system is not perfect but if 10 years of using the net, I’ve never been ripped off. Even a big evil bank like CitiBank will come to my rescue if I make a legitimate appeal to them. Which I have only had to do once and they took care of the problem immediately. Get a grip and get on board. You have to give up a little of your privacy to fully enjoy the Internet. C’mon chicken littles…the sky is not falling.

The guys at splitinifinity have been top notch in my opinion and they were not using this forum as an advertisement board. They were merely defending their business model against a bunch of perceived negative drawbacks that some of you were expressing.

And if you hadn’t noticed, they took your input and put it to good use in giving their customers what they are asking for. Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. The kid will someday grow up and be able to help you in your old age.

Enough of the naysaying…I’m moving on with life.

do you work for them ? or are you just trying to get your referral number out there ?

i take offence at the “get a grip” statement. they knew it was wrong to not have HTTPS functionality for CC details, or else they wouldn’t have bothered with obtaining a cert. and there’s a big difference between giving up a bit of privacy and transmitting your CC details in plain text, to a service that doesn’t give any details about how or where they store this information.

i also don’t understand your comment about the UK. a poster commented that UK prices seemed high. they responded with correct pricing.

and you comment about Mecca … have you been to either Europe or Mecca ?

"do you work for them ? or are you just trying to get your referral number out there ? "

He does not work for us.

I would hire him for marketing any day though, I like the way he writes.

You should work on your form more bacon man. You sound so negative all the time. I would hope I am just reading you wrong.

Cheers.

norman,

i’m not negative, there’s a place for advertising and i don’t think this is it. a happy user posting good things about a service is one thing, but it’s easy to take it too far, and imo, this thread has taken it too far. particularly given that (as i’ve said previously), your website for this service is lacking even the details being given here.

aside from that, i’m a user of splitinfinity. and i’ve recommended you to others to try (without my referral number/ID too). you could therefore say that my requests for improved functionality are out of a selfish wish to see the site upgraded. the truth is that there are too few voip providers that have enough of a professional image for me to promote and refer people to. “cos if you don’t look good, we don’t look good”

i hope it works out for you, and i’m glad to see you’ve got your entry in the wiki. i’m happy with what i use your service for, just not overly impressed with what you (and your user) have used this forum for. that fair enough ?

I have just returned from a very nice holiday in France. That, for the benefit of maxfiles, is a place in Europe.

I did not mean to stir up a hornet’s nest with my original posting, but I am glad to see that it at least caused the curiously named “Suavemente” to make some attempt to smooth the workings of his operation.

It is still far from a professional offering, however, and whether one is in the UK, the rest of Europe, or the little USA backwater, presentation is still an important aspect of any successful business.

It is usually sensible to avoid any enterprise that is anonymous. Microsoft and other global players can afford not to put details of personnel on their web site because they are so large that their details are easily available through many other sources.

Small companies, or proprietorships have a duty to disclose their names, addresses and telephone numbers so that they can be contacted and held to account for any misdemeanours. Indeed, it is a little known fact (apparently) that it is a legal requirement for UK companies to show the company’s registered office, their Registration Number, and contact details on their web site. Where credit card transactions are involved a physical address which can be visited by customers must also be shown.

Due to the incompetence and laziness of British bureaucrats, many websites do not bother with this. They are, therefore best avoided. They may not be trustworthy.

I am looking for a reliable, technically proficient company to supply a VoIP facility that I can on-sell to customers. Is this company going to be able to provide that?

I wonder.

Yes, I’ve been all over France and it was a nice place with the exception of all the snobby waiters in Paris who acted insulted that I dared to speak English in their presence. The hotels and the girls along the Champs Elysees were nice…very nice.

I can only say that I charged $30 on my cc with splitinfinity and thus far my phone calls have never failed and the connections are clear as glass. Their tech support guy is an * specialist and he was more than helpful in getting me on the right track with my conf files. Those two events alone were worth the $30. If I find any fraudulent activity on my account it almost certainly won’t be from these guys or because of the transaction I did with them. Hell the damn waiter in that French restaurant was more likely to steal my cc information. In any event, if something does go bad, I’ll just call CitiBank, state my legitimate claim and they will deal with it for me.

As we say in the little backwaters here in the US, nuff said…!

I won’t disagree with your comments about Paris! Most French people would also concur. Paris is as typical of France as LA is of the USA. Neither is on my list of places to spend time in.

Fortunately, most of the rest of rural France is still a joy, and, despite the well known obsession that France has with bureaucracy, the rural villagers seem to just get on with enjoying life despite it.

HI again all.

Not sure if anyone has looked, but that myvoice.splitinfinity.com
is the login and beginning to the registration process…

Your comments on anonymous companies are well noted, however
I must show you this link, which I feel is overlooked and has all of
our contact details on it:

I must also take the liberty to show you the following and ask your professional opinions:

Feedback is welcome always.

Bacon… I do respect your comments. In the end, I feel your comments
have helped me focus my energy a bit and I like that. Sorry if I felt negative emotions for a sec.

Were also going an extra step and offering an affiliate system so other providers who are smaller or just want to make some extra cash can push our hardware lines. Click on Webmasters, and please do give me your opinions on that page as well.

NOTE: The links to the store are not “public” but are complete. Were just going over things, checking pricing and spell checking things…

Happy 4th of July (in advance)
