I installed trix 2 times so far and I get the same error again;

Unable to connect to remote asterisk (does /var/run/asterisk.ctl exist?)

It works the fists day, but the next day when I try to do Asterisk ?R it gives me the error.

I updated trix already and the error stils there.

My computer is a Compaq Proliant with RAID and no ZAP interface.

Any idea?

i could say “find the power cable and yank it out. problem gone, no more error messages.” but instead i’ll ask the obvious … is Asterisk running ? if the messages says it can’t find an instance of Asterisk then you should be wondering why that is, not wondering why you can’t connect.

perhaps you could look at /var/log/asterisk/full and see if that’s got any clues ?

if asterisk.ctl exist then
su -
asterisk -r
that should wrok.
