while i am installing the Asteisk server i am getting the following error
chan_sip.c: The ‘username’ field for sip peers has been deprecated in favor of the term ‘defaultuser’
can any one tell me the answer.
What is the question?
This is not an error. It is a warning, and I would have said a quite clear message once you understand that “deprecated” means a feature that has been replaced and will soon be removed in its own form and should not be used in new configuration files.
If you want to have a configuration file that will continue to work in later versions of Asterisk, you need to change every occurrence of username to read defaultuser.
