I am using Asterisk 184.108.40.206. I rebooted the server today and, after the reboot, outbound calls on DAHDI channels fail saying dial_exec_full unable to create Channel of type DAHDI. Here’s where it gets really strange, if I make a call, from the outside, into that DAHDI channel, Asterisk answers and executes the dialplan and the correct internal phones ring. Then I can pick-up an internal extension and make a call out on the DAHDI channel that failed before the incoming call, with no errors. I may not have explained that very well. So feel free to ask for clarification.
I ran 220.127.116.11 in a test environment for about a month to make sure there were no problems and never ran into this problem. I moved 18.104.22.168 into service on the production switch about a week ago and haven’t had a single glitch until this one. Anyone have any ideas?
