Stir/Shaken: how to set attestation level in practice?


Let you have an outbound trunk to a telco on a box receiving calls from end users.

In practice, what must include your dialplan when you want to attest to the downstream provider that one call deserves Level A and another one deserves Level B or C ?
Do you need to set a specific dialplan variable ?

Said differently, are you required to set the outbound trunk profile to level C and each TN entry to either B or C ?

Yes, that’s the way to do it. Attestation has to be done on a TN basis because not only can the attestation level be different but the certificates as well. There’s currently no way to control the attestation process from the dialplan.
