I am just starting to look at the source. Is there any documentation on what is in each file? Kinda like an overview?

I browsed the forum but did not see any…

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, I am looking to further my knowledge of the inner workings of asterisk.

have you had a look at the output of make progdocs when in the asterisk source directory ? does that give you what you want ?
