[solved] need: macaddress= in sip.conf, like users.conf

thanks again for your expertise david55,

I should have tested it or researched more before assuming it would only allow that mac address to connect.

So I was hoping for the macaddress filtering of that field for extra security.

The thing is, we still using sip.conf, because I’m not sure if all the standard sip options are in users.conf

Question: can I put macaddress=0004fblahblah in sip.conf and have it work like in users.conf ?

A very quick skim of the code suggests that it is only used for provisioning and will not be used for access control.
