I have searched and searched about adding SIP/SIMPLE (not necessarily XMPP) into an Asterisk 1.6 server. There was a lot about a custom mod for 1.4.

Is there a way, hopefully easy, to get Asterisk 1.6 to support SIP/SIMPLE?
