SIP Password Encryption

Hi,

is it possible to encrypt ONLY the password for use as the md5secret variable to avoid using plain text in sip.conf or Realtime?

I want/need to avoid using “::” as the raw_output for md5(…) encryption because I would love to have thesame password used by other sources which have nothing to do with asterisk and it is kind of impractical to tell my users to type in “username:asterisk:userpass” as password.

If Voipjet can do this - it is possible :smile:
You must convert your password to md5, then md5secret = yes or something like this…
