Security.0 files in /var/log/asterisk

Hello Asterisk Team

the security log is working fine. But what I have recognised is when the file size gets around 1.2G a new security file is created, and the other one is moved to security.0

The file is owned by asterisk:asterisk as well. But I can not find out which process is creating this file.

We are also using logrotate, but it only rotates on Sundays. Since we have those .0 files it is mixing up our logrotate file structure.

Does anyone have the same issue, or can tell me how I can take over control about those security files.

All the control over Asterisk rotation is done in logger.conf[1], which can be done externally by executing the “logger rotate” CLI command. What is doing that, I can not say.
