Release of dahdi-linux-complete for Linux kernel 6.12?

We’re starting to use Rocky Linux 10 and Linux kernel 6.12, which the master branch of dahdi-linux works with, but not version 3.4.0.

Can anyone from Sangoma advise on when a new dahdi-linux-complete package might be released which includes this latest code?

Thanks in advance.

issue with Rocky Linux 10 and kernel 6.12.

I actually encountered similar compilation problems with CentOS 9 and opened an issue about it: https://github.com/asterisk/dahdi-linux-complete/issues/2

Unfortunately, I haven’t received a response on that issue yet. Like the OP mentioned, the master branch does work with these newer kernels, so the fixes clearly exist - it’s just a matter of when they’ll be included in an official dahdi-linux-complete release.

I completely agree with the OP that we need some guidance from Sangoma on the release timeline for an updated dahdi-linux-complete package.

Thanks @benphone

@jcolp, you’re the Person Who Knows Things. Can you give us an idea of the timeline?

I don’t work on DAHDI or have any involvement in it, so don’t have such information. I can notify that team but that’s about it (which I’ve now done).

Thanks Joshua!
