Receiving Fax

Hi,

I try to receive fax on my personnal sip extension with rxfax on a freepbx/asterisk 1.4 pbx.

I don’t receive the fax (the tiff file is only 8 bytes) and I always have such message in my log :

or Fax receive not successful - result (51) The call dropped prematurely.

Do someone have an idea on how to solve my problem ? I think I’m not far from the end but don’t really know what to do…

Faxing over SIP is very not reliable. The only time I have seen this work is when the server is in the same facility as your ITSP and there is almost a direct connection.
