PSTN to VoIP call routing and transfering

I’m new to this * system and have been searching the forums for my question and havn’t been able to yield any results.

I was wondering if it is possible to have an * machine receive a call on a PSTN line and have it routed to a remote location via VoIP and also be able to make calls out from the remote location through the PSTN line? Would this also require having an * machine at the remote location?

Any information or a point to the information would be greatley appreciated.
