I just recently upgraded an old (covad) LG sip phone & successfully connecteded it to asterisk. I found the required update for the LG phone at: track.sipfoundry.org/browse/XECS … pVNhgE_X-G
To get the phone to successfully download this update I had to change the name of the LIP_68xx_VER_SIP2 file to LIP_68xx_VER. After that a tftp upgrade of the LG firmware worked.
