No sound on both sides when using Gigaset 550A IP BASE

Hi,

I have 2 bases. A C47H and a 550A IP BASE (both from Gigaset).
The first one works fine.
With the second I have no sound on both sides.
I use asterisk-22.4.0.

Here’s attached 3 files:

  • an image of the dialog
  • a text file of the dialog
  • pjsip.conf

Here’s how the call goes:

0033972141517 asterisk SIP provider PSTN
PUB IP:94.239.69.230 => 45.134.50.195 => 91.121.129.134 => 0147023892
LOCAL IP:192.168.1.17

I must say that with 2 softphones linked to the asterisk server work well, even with NAT.
It’s only the hardphone connected to the 550A IIP BASE that has this issue.
In its conf there is only one rtp port that can be configured. Its value is 10000.
In asterisk rtp.conf I have the 10000-20000 interval defined.

The problem is only in the sound part.

It would be nice if someone could help me searching.
I have spent 3 days looking for the cause, I have viewed numerous tutos.
I’m here today because I’m lost.

Thanks in advance for any help.

pjsip.conf.txt (1.8 KB)

Media is flowing in both directions and no-one is using port 10,000, in the message sequence chart.

The callee is using different media and signalling addresses.

Thanks @david551
That’s exactly what I don’t understand.
Hardphone is configured for using rtp port 10000.
I must add that it’s not possible to configure a range.
Can it be a hardware failure ?
The phone (and its base) is new.
If it was only a matter of caller port it would could work in the way caller - callee. It’s not the case.

Very unlikely. A hardware fault that affected the port number would almost certainly result in an exact power of two difference, or a complete crash.

Here’s what I’ve found in the knowledge database:

All Gigaset “HX” handsets are compatible to the new Gigaset IP BASE.

Older handsets can be registered to the IP BASE, but with lowered functionality. Please expect issues when using these unsupported handsets.

I’m using an old C470IP handset…

Furthermore this issue is only from inside the LAN to PSTN/LAN. Everything works fine in the way PSTN/LAN to C470IP.

To be sure I’ve tried with a recent handset, and this one works.
