No audio on chanspy

I just upgraded from Asterisk v1.4.18 to v1.4.22 and now I get no audio back when ChanSpy is invoked. The prompts are audible as I cycle through the SIP channels however I don’t hear the conversation. I made no changes to my dialplan and all worked fine on 1.4.18. There is no transcoding and I’m not recording the conversation. I’ve upgraded three servers and all three have the same symptom. Is there something I need to do differently with .22 for ChanSpy to work???
