No application 'Echo' error (certified/16.3-cert1)

I have an issue I thought I’d never have. I installed a new ASTERISK server (certified/16.3-cert1), and configured extension 8378 (TEST) to run the standard echo-test application:

exten => 8378,1,Playback(demo-echotest)
same => n,Echo()

But when I call that extension, I get the ‘demo-echotest’ phrase spoken to me, then this error:

Certainly not the most important issue of the day, but echo-test is a great way to know when the two-way audio path is working as it should.

It’s a standard install - nothing special. I did add chan_sip but the error appears for both pjsip and chan_sip.

I scanned through the menuselect options just in case I might have accidentally unchecked something, but everything looks normal from a stare-and-compare with another 16.3/cert1 and a 17.0.1 that I have that is working.

Is the app_echo module loaded?
