Exclusive hold - Exclusive hold refers to the hold feature which will prevent any phone but the one that placed the hold to retrieve the calls.
So, instead of it being a disadvantage and/or a negative for a customer coming from either a key or hybrid PBX, it should be mentioned as a feature of Asterisk.
Instead of having just a hold feature, Asterisk has an Exclusive Hold. It’s all about perception, right? The customer needs to perceive it as a feature, or better yet, a security feature. Not just anyone can pick up the call, only the person who placed it on hold.

Do you know that with Panasonic PBX you can use any shared line and lock it(exclusive hold for you) just by pressing the line one more time.Do you know that you can press just one key and all your internal calls can be answer as paging?
