I would suggest being more specific about what this means. People have different definitions of what an Asterisk programmer is.

Perhaps you can help me with this. I am the owner, not a programmer, therefore I don’ know the Argo.
I have a third party verification business. Basically,Customer’s call in, and the system takes them through a series of questions and records the voice or key entry responses. I need a programmer who can make changes to these programs or to create new programs as I add customers. That’s basically it. So, what would term would you suggest I use to improve my post?

I can’t really speak to how your system is built or what it utilizes, so I can’t help with the post.
You suggested that perhaps I should use a different term for the position, other than “Programmer”. Perhaps I misunderstood the point you were making.

An Asterisk programmer can mean writing C code for Asterisk, or to some people it means writing dialplan, or to other people it means writing AGIs, or for others ARI applications.

Ah, yes. I have heard my programmer refer to AGI’s and Dial plans.
