Nano editor "how copy paste"?

How can I copy a line and then paste it?
I was using ALT+8 but that doest work.

I usually do that from an SSH client. Since I use windows, I remotely connect to my asterisk box using Putty, and to copy something, I just highlight with the mouse all the lines that I need copied, and to paste I just right click where I need it to be pasted.
