IRC for asterisk?

Hi there,

Just tried to connect to irc for #asterisk… and i connect no probs using

irc.freenode.net

but when i issue a command to join #asterisk i get the following…

You need to be identified to join that channel

Anybody know why?

It is set up that way to reduce flooding and spam on the channel. try doing:
/msg NICKSERV Register
