Identify this tone..is asterisk producing it?

Good day,

I recently connected Asterisk up to a system that dials automatically with a softphone in a call centre. I am getting this tone while the number is being dialed and then the tone stops once the call is connected.

Can anyone tell me if this is a tone that Asterisk makes and if so what the error or problem is, or if it’s not Asterisk making it.

Suitably verbose logging will be less hassle. It will also tell us quite a lot of the necessary information that you didn’t provide.

Note that tones vary from country to country, and even though Asterisk may be able to produce a tone, it doesn’t mean that it is doing so.

As the call connects, why is this a problem for you?
