How to get the channel volume?

Hello,

is there any way to get the voice volume/level of an asterisk channel. I need to write a script to automatically adapt the speech volume. It doesn’t have to be an absolute voice level, a volume changing over time would be sufficient. I toy with the idea of using a speech recognition software but there should be an easier way, any ideas?

Hello again,

I found out that the ztmonitor-tool is able to visualize the rx- and tx-volume on a zap-channel, is there any tool that makes the same for a sip-channel?
