[Help] MusicOnHold.conf

I’m not sure if this is your problem, but it works for me. Since your original log entries indicate that you are using SIP, make sure that you have silence suppression turned off. The MOH may not be sent if there is no traffic from the device. That’s what I have to do on any of my softphones that I want MOH on.

Your log entries also don’t have a timestamp, so… are you sure it is starting and stopping immediately?

This is what am getting from the log when my extension is calling another:

-- Saved useragent "X-Lite release 1103m" for peer 1199
-- Executing Playback("SIP/4281-ecdc", "transfer|skip") in new stack
-- Executing Dial("SIP/4281-ecdc", "sip/1199|20|to") in new stack
-- Called 1199
-- SIP/1199-86a1 is ringing
-- SIP/1199-86a1 answered SIP/4281-ecdc
-- Attempting native bridge of SIP/4281-ecdc and SIP/1199-86a1
-- Started music on hold, class 'default', on SIP/4281-ecdc
-- Stopped music on hold on SIP/4281-ecdc
-- Started music on hold, class 'default', on SIP/4281-ecdc
-- Stopped music on hold on SIP/4281-ecdc

-- Stopped music on hold on SIP/4281-ecdc

Did you notice where the music starts and stops ?

Where do I find this silence suppression setting at?

Sorry guys but I give up. My boss and I decided to contact Digium and pay them so they can configure the box for us since we have wasted to much time working on this. Thanks for all the help and I’m sure that I’ll be back to learn more from everybody and also share my experiences.
