handle_request_invite: Failed to authenticate user

I’m running Asterisk 1.4.17 and polycom soundpoint IP’s (430’s & 601’s). When I dial a number then pick up the phone the call goes thru no problems. If I pickup the phone, dial, then press send I get this error

NOTICE[6145]: chan_sip.c:13795 handle_request_invite: Failed to authenticate user “Chris” sip:2001@192.168.xxx.xxx;tag=FE75BF38-86386B9

What am I doing wrong? Is this a polycom setting issue or an asterisk? I’m sure I’m just being an idiot… :open_mouth:

I’ve the same problem with Asterisk 1.4.17 and polycom soundpount 501. I had no problems with Asterisk 1.4.11.

Is there a solution?

Seeing the same thing here with Polycom SoundPoint IP 430s and clean installs of Asterisk 1.14.18 and 1.14.19rc3.

Resetting the machine to try 1.6beta6 just for completness. More as I know more.
