H.264 in 1.2 branch

I found via svn.digium.com/view/asterisk?rev=7855&view=rev that h.264 support was added to the main trunk in January.

Can anyone tell me if there are plans to merge this into the 1.2 release (checked the 1.2.7.1 release)?

1.2 should have little or no new features going into it. For now, most of the work being done is for the next release of asterisk 1.4. The Asterisk project attempts to go through a release cycle every 6 months. You can find more information about this release cycle here: http://www.asterisk.org/developers/releasecycle
