Hi, I’ve seen a few services like the one below, where toll free service into a PBX is provided at a flat rate, and forwarded calls to a cell or POTS phone are extra money.
bestcallservice.com/tollfree/telecenter.htm
All I need or want to do is have people call in and leave messages for multiple voicemailboxes. I’d go with a service like below, but I’d really like to have the extra features of asterisk available to me (primarily the ability to retrieve or download the voicemails from the internet.
Given that all the calls will terminate to the asterisk box, is there some way that I can get the same rate plan the company below gets and get flat-rate toll free pricing?
Thanks.
You can get DID for 11.00 a month inbound UNLIMITED…
Toll free is 5 cent a min…
Look at who will be calling and where they call in from, maybe that a “local” number maybe better (cost less in the long run) in some area’s.
The plan you point to is a 5000 min plan (not Unlimited)
I use Connect.VoicePulse.com as they have area codes in places most other did not, and they are geared for Asterisk…
Just understand when you run it yourself if the asterisk server is down so are you all calls in get fast busy at best…
So if you are doing this as a buisness then look at datacenter for hosting and running two or more box using rsync to keep updated…
For what it’s worth, the cheapest incoming toll-free number service I’ve found is 1.9 cents incoming from iax.cc
Let me know if you know of anything cheaper. Thanks.
