Is it possible to generate connection tones to be replaced by either the ring tone upon connection or engaged tone?
I have tried using the r flag and adjusting the tone to produce a “ding a ling, ding a ling” tone. But this doesn’t get replaced by the genuine ring tone upon connection with the callee.
My problem is: when someone dials a mobile number through my asterisk severer, this can often take upto ten seconds to connect. During this time there is just silence. I understand I can issue the r command, but this gives the impression the the recipient phone is ringing.
I wanted to create a connection tone, to be replaced by the normal dialing tone upon connection…
