Fax configuration in Asterisk

Dear All,

I am using asterisk 14 version and struggling with Fax related configuration. I would be grateful if anybody can assist regarding following points.

  1. How I can make asterisk to work in passthrough mode, I mean to say that it should not add available codecs , just send the offer as it is whatever received from the callee party.

  2. How can I enable T.38 fax in passthrough mode in asterisk?

Asterisk is a B2BUA, this means that each call leg is independent. Offers are not forwarded.

As for enabling T.38 fax passthrough this is done in the respective channel driver - sip.conf or pjsip.conf

I should also add that Asterisk 14 no longer receives bug fixes. It only receives security fixes.
