Error installing asterisk

Hi,

While I am installing asterisk, the make command gives the below error.

Can any one please let me know urgently why this error happens. I am installing on centos 7 machine. Asterisk version I am trying to install is asterisk-13.18.2]# pwd
/root/build/asterisk-13.18.2

You are presumably either missing or have the wrong version of the OpenSSL library.

Do you actually need encryption?

I don’t need encryption. If its disabled, will the compile work. If yes, can you please let me know how to disable it.

What options are compiled in depend on a combination of what build time libraries were available when configure was run and what you select in make menuconfig. I don’t have a recent source tree to experiment with, so it is up to you to look at what options are available.

Actually where will be the ssl option. I checked all the options in menuconfig but couldn’t see the option to disable it.

Looks like it will try to use SSL if you have any feature that can use it and configure finds it.

I’d try ./configure --with-ssl=no to stop it looking for OpenSSL at all.

I have already tried it but unfortunately it didn’t work. My asterisk version is 13.18.2 and openssl version is OpenSSL 1.0.2k-fips. Will these versions have compatibility version.

I can’t help further. The last Asterisk I built was much older and I did want SSL.

I am using CentOS 6 and Asterisk 13.x.
