Cli/ console lacking colour!

hello all

after a struggle i belive i now have a up and running copy of Asterisk, only a small issue persists…the cli is mono coloured

in previous versions of Asterisk NOTICE has been in yellow DIAL strings have been purple ERRORS in red etc

on my new install of 1.6 there is no colour

im running it on Ubuntu, using Gnome terminal 2.26.0

any ideas?

im still struggling with this guys?

if i run the command ls /etc within the ubuntu console, this displays colour. however when i start the asterisk console asterisk -r all i get is mono (black and white)

quick update, i have also just tried the Ubuntu Konsole which is also not showing colour

could it be an issue with Asterisk??
