Cisco and Asterisk VM

Hello I have a VoIP setup using a Cisco 3725 router and Asterisk for voicemail. I currently have an FXO disconnect problem with my PBX. After someone leaves a message and hangs up VM continues to record a dialtone until the max message time is reached. Is there a way to make Asterisk VM think that a dialtone is silence?

how are the calls coming into Asterisk from the pstn? (sorry if the answer is obvious, I’m not a Cisco expert)?

Calls come in through the Cisco FXO ports, after 10 secs the calls are forwarded to the Asterisk voicemail. I think I’ve solved the problem on the cisco side of things using FXO disconnect supervision.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc … _dscon.htm
