i configured my asterisk to use tls and i initiated the keys for media encryyption just like the wiki in asterisk says … i registered using two blink softphones and made the call which it says there is tls and media is being encrypted (2 locks are shown) … but could i observe the encrypted data by setting pjsip logger on ?
i mean i want to see it that it is encrypted … how could i do it
Use tcpdump and wireshark.
Note that wireshark will not be able to decode the SIP, so you will have to manually find the port numbers used for media.
You will need an understanding of the protocols, but I think you would always need that if you don’t trust what the software is telling you.
