Capturing SIP Header Call-ID

Hi,

When using the Dial command to make a call out via SIP, Asterisk generates the sip header info including a ‘Call-ID’ in the format of: >unique_id>@<server_ip>: Many other switches store this ID to help with accounting etc, however Asterisk does not.

Does anyone know if there is a way to be able to capture this outbound ‘Call-ID’ and then add it to the CDR for that call please.

Thank you in advance for any help!

You can experiment with the G option on Dial, the BRIDGEPEER variable and user or custom fields on the CDR. You will need the Bridge application to complete the call.

I haven’t tried this.
