we are trying to detect callerid in INDIA .Typically callerid arrives BETWEEN the first and second rings as a burst of DTMF digits. I have patched the chan_zap.c to get it… the patch is as per 'http://bugs2.digium.com/print_bug_page.php?bug_id=6683"
The patch works fine although we made about 20 test calls…
We have another telecom provIder who sends callerid as a burst of DTMF BEFORE the first ring. In this case the patch fails … pls let me know what d i do

have you tried using UK settings for this scenario ?

I am working on the same issue tying to get it resolved.
I am getting a message warning “CID timed out waiting for ring. I am testing on Tata Indicom line”.
You have seem to have got it working for one provider. Could you let me know who the provider is and what are your configuration files. Namely zapata.conf, zaptel.conf and any others?
